Also, Nikki doesn't even use her Mii design in Smash, so the whole "despite Nikki being a Mii" point is kind of irrelevant.

The former only has Miis appear as background characters and nothing more, while the latter's only Mii-related aspect is the player character. That, and I don't think either game has ever been officially considered Mii series games (at the very least, Smash Ultimate puts their spirits in "Others" instead of "Mii").
