New Super Mario Bros. Mii was a tech demo shown at E3 2011 in order to showcase the power of the Wii U, most paticulary the Wii U's Off-TV Play mode, which allows the player to play a game on the Wii U GamePad rather than using the television screen.
Gameplay
New Super Mario Bros. Mii seems have being heavily based on New Super Mario Bros. Wii, to which 6 new levels were available to play and in which the players were allowed to play as Miis. The demo would last for ten minutes and then automatically reset.
