Find Mii II (called StreetPass Quest II outside of North America) is the sequel to Find Mii, one of two sub-games alongside Puzzle Swap that the player begins with in Mii Plaza. This sub-game, which was added on December 6, 2011, is unlocked once the player beats Find Mii twice. Like the original Find Mii, Find Mii II is a role-playing game in which heroes can be recruited with Play Coins to traverse rooms and defeat the monsters therein. However, this sub-game incorporates additional gameplay elements for added strategy and player interactivity; these elements include the ability to perform combo attacks, buy potions, and choose a path on the main map, among others. Completing Find Mii II unlocks an additional secret quest with tougher enemies, 16 extra rooms, and more hats that can be worn by the Miis in the player's plaza. While some hats in Find Mii II can only be obtained through the secret quest, others require two or three playthroughs of the main quest. To earn every hat in the sub-game, the player must complete the main quest a minimum of three times and the secret quest a minimum of ten times.

The following list sorts goods based on whether or not an angry Mii will accept them. An acceptable good will return the Mii that receives it to a normal state. An unacceptable good will elicit the response, "I'm not in the mood right now," sending it back to the player's inventory.

When given to a Mii, the Mii will prompt the player to choose whether they should photograph scenery (“Something artsy”) or other Miis on the island (“Someone we know”). The final product is an image that the player can save to their Nintendo 3DS. If the player chooses the “artsy” option, the photo displayed will be real as opposed to one created within the game’s universe.

Upon presenting their photo and revealing its randomly-selected title (“I call it [title].”), the player will be prompted to rate it (“Check it out! How do you like it?”) on a scale from one to ten. The options, and the Mii’s corresponding responses, are listed below:

Dialogue
Find Mii II opens with the player's Mii, the monarch of their own kingdom, waking up to another busy day of ruling. The player's Mii then greets their children, the prince and princess, who are naturally indistinguishable aside from their hair. While the prince and princess have ambitions of helping local peasants and tutoring children, respectively, the three royals are suddenly caged and captured by a pair of yellow slimes. The monsters separate the royal family, keeping each member in a different location on the map. Once again, the monarch's trusty heroes must travel across a treacherous landscape to free the royals one by one.
Stomach medicine
The prince is the first royal the heroes come across in their journey. Once the foes guarding him are defeated, his cage is lowered and he is freed. The prince thanks the heroes and implores them to save his sister before wandering off, presumably back home.

The troop of heroes will eventually come across the princess. Upon being rescued, she commends the heroes' strength and asks them to save the "regal ruler", thereby restoring peace to the land.
Stomach medicine is one of 18 goods in Tomodachi Life.

Once the heroes arrive at the roof of the Castle of Darkness where the ruler is kept, they are forced to battle an armored archfiend who guards the cage. However, defeating this foe does not yet free the ruler, as they are seized by the Ultimate Ghost moments after escaping from their cage. Like in the original Find Mii, this event prompts a more difficult battle with the Ultimate Ghost, with the ruler in his grip. Also like in Find Mii, the Ultimate Ghost will dissolve upon being defeated. This allows the ruler to enjoy a moment of freedom before being grabbed from the sky by the Dark Lord (called the Dark Emperor in the secret quest), initiating the final battle sequence.
Dialogue
Defeating the Dark Lord/Emperor will cause it to disintegrate, finally bringing the ruler to safety and ending the heroes' arduous quest. The three royals are then seen in their home, once again thanking the heroes for saving both the kingdom and the world. The royal family commends the heroes, promising that their names will live on in legend.
Swing
Gameplay
Traversing the map
In Find Mii II, the player is able to choose between multiple paths at certain points on the map. While some rooms are mandatory to complete the sub-game, there are a total of three forks in the road (nine in the secret quest), with some allowing the player to choose between three rooms instead of the normal two.
The swing is one of 18 goods in Tomodachi Life.

The main quest of Find Mii II includes one room, Ominous Shrine, that requires a bronze key to unlock, obtained after beating the sub-game twice. The secret quest includes two other unlockable paths. The first path, leading to Shrine of Judgement, is unlocked once the player obtains this silver key. Achieving the silver key requires the player to finish the main quest twice, completing both Diabolical Altar - Front and Shrine of Shadows - East. Finally, the gold key can be obtained if the player completes the secret quest twice. All three keys are required for 100% completion of Find Mii II, which involves the collection of every hat.

Travel ticket
In Find Mii II, heroes enjoy a wider variety of options to choose from in battle. These options are listed below.

*Attack: A hero will attack with their sword, dealing a mild amount of damage to one enemy. This option allows for the possibility of a hero receiving an extra strike, or even landing a critical hit to deal more damage.
The travel ticket is one of 18 goods in Tomodachi Life.
*Magic: A hero will cast a particular spell depending on the color of their shirt. The effects of magic apply to all enemies. Magic cannot be used in a room with magic-warding gas. Enemy shields can block some of the damage dealt by magic attacks, though a certain-colored shield will break if a Mii with the same shirt color uses magic.
*Create Team: A hero can join forces with the next one in line, allowing the two of them to perform attacks that can be used to deal greater amounts of damage or dispel gas.
**Combo Attack: The team will attack with their swords, dealing a large amount of damage to one enemy and earning an extra hit.
**Combo Magic: The team will attack with magic, dealing a large amount of damage to all enemies. A team's level depends on the similarity of their shirt colors. Heroes can only perform Combo Magic if they have the same shirt color.
**Change Team: The second member of a team will move to the back of the line, allowing the next hero in line to take their place. This option is useful for creating teams with similar or matching shirt colors.
*Get Potion: A hero will spend Play Coins to purchase a potion that can benefit them in battle.
*Return: A hero will return to the back of the line, giving their turn to the next hero in line.

The player is able to speed up the gameplay in Find Mii by holding the left or right shoulder buttons.

Battleground Z
Battleground Z (called StreetPass Zombies outside of North America) is one of fourteen sub-games in Mii Plaza, developed by Good-Feel. It was added in the second major update on April 16, 2015 alongside Ultimate Angler and the StreetPass Mii Plaza Premium feature. In Battleground Z, the player's Mii must visit various locations in the city of Hobbiville to rid them of zombies, rescuing survivors and attaining their weapons in the process. Each level in this sub-game involves multiple missions that the player must complete in order to progress. By reaching certain milestones in Battleground Z, the player is able to earn Plaza Tickets.

Story
Battleground Z takes place in the once-vibrant city of Hobbiville, located within StreetPass County. When the player's Mii is riding the subway to shop for hobby supplies, they suddenly notice an abandoned smartphone ringing from the seat opposite them. Their curiosity leads them to answer the phone, next to which they find a mysterious vial. The person calling is Dr. Scarlet, who asks the Mii if they are "impressively well-armed" and urges them to find a weapon immediately amid the recent and overwhelming zombie invasion. Just as the player's Mii comes across a stray Wii Remote, a group of Shamblers — the most rudimentary type of zombie — somehow find their way into the subway car and begin their attack. When the zombies are defeated, Dr. Scarlet tells the player's Mii that she will attempt to create a cure for the zombie infection, though she requires help to succeed. She also reveals that the smartphone is her own, and that she lost it on the way to her father's research center. Before momentarily hanging up, Dr. Scarlet informs the player's Mii that there are survivors with unique and useful weapons based on their respective hobbies.

After safely making it to the subway station, the player's Mii begins their quest to rid Hobbiville of zombies. Here, they meet several identical Hobbiville residents who provide weapons to fend off the enemies within this level. Upon defeating all the zombies at the subway station, the player's Mii proceeds to other regions of the Downtown level, collecting various weapons along the way. To allow the Miis at the local hospital to be flown to the Stadium where it is safer, the player's Mii must rid a nearby parking lot of zombies. They must then clear the zombies from a back alley to ensure safe passage. However, the helicopter is unable to land in the Stadium until the player's Mii defeats a menacing Mega Slimebacker and collects one of four cell samples required for Dr. Scarlet's cure.

On Dr. Scarlet's orders, the player's Mii then enters the Shopping Mall level to clear out survivors in the quest to gain a second cell sample. Once all the zombies are dealt with, Dr. Scarlet learns that there is a fire in one of the mall walkways that the player's Mii is tasked with extinguishing. After the fire is put out, she also informs the player that survivors are using the mall as a base for supplies. Protecting survivors' supplies from the hordes of zombies requires defending a food cart at the mall plaza and retrieving bottles of water from the warehouse. The player's Mii must then vanquish and collect a sample from Belinda Munch, a large and insatiably hungry zombie located within the food court. When these tasks are complete, the survivors at the Shopping Mall are airlifted to the Stadium.

*Level-warding gas: Decreases the level of each hero, reducing the amount of damage they can inflict.
In the Uptown level, the player's Mii is tasked with rescuing more survivors, allowing them to access a bus system put in place by Dr. Scarlet. The tasks in this region include retrieving a lost dog, collecting fuel for the bus from the gas station, and clearing debris from the highway. The player's Mii is subsequently asked to scout around the cornfield that the highway passes through. Here, they are distracted by a row of Combustocorn in the middle of the road, allowing Bubba and Cleetus Rotts to ambush them. Fleeing in fright, the player's Mii then ends up in the middle of a field, where they must battle the two zombified farmers and collect the next cell sample.
*Fire magic: Causes heroes to turn back and lose their turns, and can only be cancelled out if two blue-clad heroes perform Combo Magic.
*Frost magic: Causes heroes to turn back and lose their turns, and can only be cancelled out if two red-clad heroes perform Combo Magic.
*Poison gas: Causes heroes to turn back and lose their turns, and can only be cancelled out if two yellow-clad heroes perform Combo Magic.
*Barrier gas: Prevents heroes from using magic.
*Mirage magic: Can be used only by blue ghosts, allowing them to create an identical decoy that cannot be damaged.
*Healing magic: Can be used by blue slimes, roaming mummies and reaper commanders, causing them to gain health with each turn.
*Reviving magic: Can be used only by reaper commanders, allowing them to revive defeated enemies
*Fortifying magic: Increases enemies' defense, thereby decreasing the amount of damage that heroes can inflict.

Helper Hare
Now in the Countryside level, the player's Mii must make their way to the power plant to collect the final cell sample and stabilize Hobbiville's power supply; however, doing so necessitates that they pass through a dangerous tunnel and subsequently defend the gates of a graveyard from zombies trying to escape. At the power plant, the player's Mii must repair four panels while fending off zombies and toggling light switches to make the glowing panels more visible. After fixing the generators, the player's Mii is required to pass through a hydroelectric dam, guarding an employee and steadily proceeding to the exit. Dr. Psymad is soon encountered at the power plant, where he is found dumping an unknown substance into the reservoir to create Voltoad. Once this boss is defeated, the final cell sample is collected, though Dr. Psymad is nowhere to be found.

Helper Hare is unlocked upon completion of Find Mii II's secret quest. Helper Hare appears in already completed rooms where a particular type of magic is required to progress, and will give the player the option to hire either one or two wandering heroes with specified shirt colors. Hiring one wandering hero costs 2 Play Coins, while hiring two heroes costs 4 Play Coins. This function is useful in reducing the number of heroes wasted in combat. Helper Hare's functionality can be toggled on or off at the start screen of Find Mii II.
The player's Mii finally arrives at the Research Center level, where a survivor is found in peril as they attempt to enter the facility. Once the player's Mii has entered the research center, they must defend the lab, preventing zombies from entering and sabotaging Dr. Scarlet's plans. Upon defeating all the zombies, the player's Mii encounters Dr. Scarlet, who is close to finishing work on her cure. In the laboratory, the player's Mii is asked to position four tanks containing components of the cure into their proper places on glowing floor panels. The player's Mii then accompanies Dr. Scarlet on the service elevator to the roof of the facility, though the both of them must contend with zombies that seek to steal the cure. At the rooftop, they encounter Dr. Psymad, and it is revealed that he is supposedly Dr. Scarlet's father in zombified form. When the player's Mii strikes Dr. Psymad, the latter resorts to releasing the zombification virus through a nearby spray machine from which Dr. Scarlet planned to dispense the cure. After releasing the virus, Dr. Psymad consumes a potion that turns him into the much more powerful Super Psymad.

Rooms
Once Super Psymad is defeated, it melts into a puddle with a small alien at the center who, as it turns out, was posing as Dr. Scarlet's father all along. At long last, the player's Mii is able to dispense the cure, restoring peace and harmony to Hobbiville and allowing its residents to enjoy their hobbies once more.

Gameplay
To earn weapons in Battleground Z, the player can recruit survivors for 2 Play Coins each. Survivors are always Miis the player has found via StreetPass. Once a survivor is rescued during a mission, they will provide the player's Mii with a weapon that corresponds with the survivor's favorite hobby, as set in StreetPass Mii Plaza. There are 25 hobbies to choose from, but survivors without an associated hobby will provide a tote bag upon their rescue. While survivors can take the form of random Miis, Miis that have been previously been met via the StreetPass functionality of the Nintendo 3DS are also eligible to be survivors. These types of Miis offer the option to team up upon being rescued, where they will use their weapon to help the player's Mii defeat zombies. If a survivor is not rescued in time, they will turn into a zombie and become hostile towards the player's Mii. A counter in the lower screen keeps track of how many survivors the player has rescued during a mission.

Although rescuing survivors is a key aspect of the gameplay in Battleground Z, the main focus of this sub-game are the missions that come with each stage. Such missions normally require the player's Mii to defeat all the zombies in a stage, though guarding a Mii from zombies and performing tasks within a set time limit are also common. In stages where the player's Mii must protect another Mii from harm, straying too far from the Mii in question will cause them to freeze in fear, leaving them defenseless and vulnerable to the zombies. In boss stages, the player must defeat the boss to progress.

The player can hold the right shoulder button to speed up transitions and cutscenes in Battleground Z.

Combat
The player's Mii can use a weapon's charged attack by holding and releasing the A button; however, a given weapon can only perform three charged attacks before its energy is depleted. Moreover, a weapon will lose durability when the player's Mii is damaged by a zombie, and it will break if the durability gauge in the top left corner of the screen is depleted, forcing the player to find more survivors and obtain their weapons. If all weapons break, the player will have to restart the stage. Pressing the left or right shoulder buttons or tapping a weapon's icon in the lower screen will allow the player's Mii to switch between weapons.

*Slash and smash attacks
*Critical hits

Levels
Batteground Z involves five levels: Downtown, Shopping Mall, Uptown, Countryside, and Research Center. Each level in this sub-game includes six stages, with only five being mandatory to complete. The fifth stage of each level is a boss stage, while the sixth is a reprise boss fight that is unlocked once the player collects a set amount of Medals.

Invincibility item
While Creepy Couriers sometimes carry Plaza Tickets, they can also be seen carrying a mysterious potion that renders the player's Mii and allies invincible for a brief moment. This invincibility allows the Miis to charge the zombies head-on without taking damage, and they also gain a significant speed boost. The invincibility item is useful for clearing out large hordes of zombies in a short time frame.

— Menu description from Tomodachi Life

The disposable camera is one of 18 goods in Tomodachi Life.

Option Response
Perfect 10! I could rule the world with this kind of talent!
8 out of 10 I was hoping for perfection, but I’ll take what I can get!

Battleground Z

Battleground Z (called StreetPass Zombies outside of North America) is one of fourteen sub-games in StreetPass Mii Plaza, developed by Good-Feel.

 • Slash and smash attacks
 • Critical hits
