The Mii Maker is an application found on the Nintendo Wii, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch systems, where Miis can be created. It is known as the Mii Channel on the Wii.

Mii Maker Varients

Mii Channel

The mii channel on the wii was the first Mii Maker. The menu is a large, empty plaza where a max of 100 Miis can be stored. There are a few options on the menu such as: Create, edit, or erase a mii, with other options like linking a DS or 3DS. And also store up to ten Mii's to a specific Wii Remote.

Mii Parade

The Mii parade is a section of the Mii Channel where you can drag a mii into the parade. You can have up to 100 Miis in the parade and take them back into the main plaza at any time (if there is space).

Mii Maker (3DS)

The Mii Maker on 3DS has a lot of simalarities to the Mii Channel, such as the plaza menu returning, but split into ten rooms wih ten miis at a time in each one. The 3DS Mii Maker also introduced the Personal Mii, a Mii that could NOT be removed from favorites and was the default mii automatically selected in some games and apps. Also, the 3DS introduced more Mii parts to work with, such as more hair styles, eyes, and mouths. The 3DS allows the player to scan a QR code to import a Mii.

Tomodachi Life Mii Maker

The Tomodachi Life Mii Maker didnt add any extra parts but did add more personal features. The ability to add a first and last name, Year in birthday, Voices, and a Personality.

Miitopia Mii Maker (3DS)

The Miitopia Mii maker added the abililty to add Non-Natural colors to some mii parts, like bright red and teal. if you imported a mii from Miitopia to the Mii Maker, the colors would be revered to default colors.

Mii Maker (WiiU)

The Mii maker on WiiU is fairly similar to the 3DS version, but with different menus. The WiiU allows the player to scan a QR code to import a Mii.

Mii Maker (Switch)

The Switch Mii Maker added the Non-Natural colors from Miitopia back in with even more extra parts to work with. But with a way more simpler menu and also allowing the user to import a Mii from a Amiibo.

Miitopia Mii Maker (Switch)

The Switch port of Miitopia allows the player to apply Makeup and a Wig to a mii. Letting the player make Miis that dont really look like Miis.

Pant Colors

There are a few colors a Mii's pants can be, all having different meanings. Grey Pants meaning the Mii was made by the player, Brown are for Miis marked as a favorite, Blue are for imported miis, such as from a QR code or from another game, and for 3DS only, Special Miis marked with gold pants. These can be taken into the StreetPass Mii Plaza for other people the player meets via StreetPass to obtain.
