Islander Mini-Games are featured in Tomodachi Collection and Tomodachi Life. When a Mii wants to play a game, their window will be marked with a green icon. When the player enters the Mii's apartment, the Mii will ask the player to play a mini-game with them, which they can either accept or deny. If the player agrees, a randomized mini-game will begin. Winning the mini-game will allow the player to choose a random treasure from three boxes of different sizes, while losing will cause the Mii to give them either a box of tissues or toilet paper.

Occasionally, after gifting a Mii something or solving their problem while interacting with them in their apartment, they will say "Since you're already here, let's play a game!" (US) or "Seeing as you're here, let's play!" (EU), which will also prompt the player to start a mini-game.

You lose if you don't! (EU)	Tomodachi Life	The Mii is preparing to drop a small treasure and the player has to catch it. The Mii will frequently try to trick and distract the player by rambling, starting a countdown, looking away, or attaching the item to a string. If the player manages to catch the item, they will receive it as their prize. The player has only two chances to catch the item.
Football (US) Wrestling (EU) Sumo (JP)		It's time to play some football! Win by knocking down your opponent or pushing to opponent out of the ring. (US) Settle your differences with a wrestling match! Win by knocking over the other figure or pushing it out of the ring! (EU)	Tomodachi Life	The player faces off against a miniature Mii dressed as a football player/wrestler/sumo fighter and have to repeatedly tap the bottom screen to push the rival Mii down or out of the ring. Another Mii will serve as the referee.
Mii Facts		Find out how well you know your islanders! Are the following facts true or false? Try to get them all right! (US) Let's see how well you know your islanders! Are the following facts true or false? Can you get them all right? (EU)	Tomodachi Life	The player is given 3 questions about the similarities or differences between two of their islanders. Questions can be about the Miis' relationships, levels, birthdays, specific gifts they own, and other facts.
Zoom Quiz		What is that super zoomed-in item?! Pick correctly from the three choices! Can you get them all right? (US) Can you tell what this super-zoomed item is? Just pick 1 of the 3 options! It sounds easy, but can you get them all right? (EU)	Tomodachi Life	The player is presented with 3 consecutive images (zooming in more after each correct answer) and must identify what the zoomed-in item is out of the 3 choices given to them. The zoomed image can be either a food or a treasure.

(US)	Tomodachi Life	The player is presented with three pairs of overlapping food and treasure silhouettes, and must pick the two items that make up the silhouette out of three choices.
Headwear Shadow Quiz		Which item is making that silhouette? Pick correctly from the 3 choices! Can you get them all right? (US)	Tomodachi Life	Three rotating silhouettes of different hats and headwear are shown in sequence, and the player must guess which item each one is from three choices.
Mii Shadow Quiz		Which Mii is making that silhouette? Pick correctly from the 3 choices! Can you get them all right? (US)	Tomodachi Life	Three animated Miis in silhouette are shown to the player in sequence, and they must guess who each one is from three choices. The Miis can perform various animations, and are pictured in their current outfit. When the player picks an answer, the Mii will lift their hands to their chin, then twirl and applaud once revealed if the player answered correctly. If the player answered incorrectly, the Mii will slump over sadly. The final Mii will jump up and down with the mini-game's host when the game is won.

Pixel Quiz

The sprites become more pixelated with each correct answer.
Mii Pixel Quiz		Who is that super pixelated Mii?! Pick correctly from the three choices! Can you get them all right?	Tomodachi Life	The player is presented with three pixelated faces of the Miis on the island, and must guess which Mii each one is out of three choices. The first face rotates, the second is still, and the third is still at a lower resolution.

Match

Match		Flip over two panels and find the pairs! Can you match all the panels before making 5 mistakes? (US) Turn over 2 panels to find the pairs! Can you find all the matching pairs without making 5 mistake? (EU)	Tomodachi Collection, Tomodachi Life	This game simply features 6 matching pairs of panels, allowing the player to have 5 chances, if the player gets the incorrect match, they’ll lose a chance.
Vs. Match		Try to find a pair by flipping two panels. If you get a match, you can go again! Find the most pairs to win (US) Turn over 2 panels to find the pairs! You can have another go if you find a pair. The one who finds the most pairs wins! (EU)	Tomodachi Life	The player plays against the Mii to catch the most pairs. At the start, the player gets to choose if they want to go first or second.

Pseudo mini-games

These are not considered mini-games as they do not appear when a Mii asks to play one, but rather appear as a Mii's problem. They are similar in nature to mini-games, having pass/fail requirements as well as using the same music and having title cards.

Backscratch		Help scratch the Mii's back. Listen for the hint and find the itching spot. You have 6 chances to try.	Tomodachi Collection	The player has six chances to find the itchy spot on the Mii's back by tapping it with the stylus. If the wrong spot is picked, the Mii will give a direction on where to scratch.
Mosquito		Please swat the mosquito. If you don't succeed within five turns, the Mii will get angry... (Collection) Mosquitos are so annoying! Aim carefully and give it a smack. It's best to wait for it to land. (Life, US)	Tomodachi Collection, Tomodachi Life (Campground only)	A mosquito flies across the Mii's face, and the player must swat it by tapping it with the stylus. If the player misses, they will hit the Mii instead. The player is provided five chances to swat the mosquito.
Sneeze		Sometimes a sneeze just won't sneeze! Save the day by tickling the Mii's nose. (US)	Tomodachi Life	Shake the feather across the Mii's nose until they sneeze. If the Mii does not sneeze in about 20 seconds, then the sneeze will disappear and the Mii will not gain happiness.

Trivia

• The player is unable to use the A button to skip text in the Catch mini-game.
• While playing the Football mini-game, it's possible to knock over the referee.
