Wuhu Island, originally known as the Wii Fit Island, is a location which first appeared in Wii Fit, and has since been featured in several Nintendo games. Every games in which the island appears haren't Mii-focused, but all at least have Miis playable. Its most notable appearance is as the setting of Wii Sports Resort in which the island could be explored while doing Air Sports.

Wuhu Island first appeared in Wii Fit and has since appeared in multiple Wii franchise games, most notably Wii Sports Resort, and the two follow-ups to Wii Fit : Wii Fit Plus, and Wii Fit U.

Wuhu Island first appeared in Wii Fit in multiple mini-games, then being called Wii Fit Island.

Wii Sports Resort

In Wii Sports Resort, every single sports takes place on Wuhu Island with the exception of Golf, which takes place on another island from the Wuhu Archipelago, being Wedge Island (Wuhu Island being in the background of the Resort Holes).

Wii Fit Plus

Mario Kart series

Wuhu Island has appeared so far in two games from the Mario Kart series, Mario Kart 7 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with two race tracks called Wuhu Loop and Maka Wuhu and a battle stage called Wuhu Town taking place on the island. Oddly enough, Wuhu Loop and Maka Wuhu are the only two race tracks from Mario Kart 7 that never got ported to Mario Kart Tour.

In Mario Kart 7, Wuhu Island appears as the setting of the Wuhu Loop and Maka Wuhu races tracks. In addition, a battle stage called Wuhu Town also appears in the multiplayer mode of the game.

Trivia

  • In the running activities of the Wii Fit series, 15 sprites from Super Mario Bros. are hidden on surfaces around the island.
  • In Wii Fit U, the island will change to match the seasons depending on the date. From December to February the island will be snowy, from March to May the island will be a bright green, from June to August the island will be a calmer green, and from September to November the trees will have orange leaves, the grass will be orange, and leaves will be falling from trees.
