The Café in Tomodachi Life.

The Café is a location in Tomodachi Life, as well as being present as a hidden location in Tomodachi Collection. It is unlocked when a Mii confesses their love to another Mii for the first time, at the same time as the Park and Amusement Park. It serves as a location for Miis to hang out, and Miis who visit the location can be seen having something to eat or drink, sit or nap at the counter, chat with others in a booth, or simply stand outside the building. Within the building, the music playing over the radio consists of songs from Tomodachi Collection. Miis who are seen eating at the café will not fill their stomachs from the visit.

Miis who have the book gift can be seen reading it at the café. The café is also a possible location for a Mii to confess their love.

Events

Chat session

The Guys' hangout.

Chat sessions (also known as Guys'/Girls' hangout (US release) or Guys'/Girls' meeting (EU release)) are discussions between groups of Miis of the same gender, which can be held at the café at any hour during the day. While a chat session is active, entering the café will show two to four Miis sitting at a booth, having a conversation using several random dialogues. Exiting the café and returning while the event is going on can show a completely different selection of Miis. The topics of conversation differ slightly between the Guys' and Girls' versions of the event.

Pity party

A pity party is a special event that occurs while at least one Mii on the island is in a state of sadness. It is functionally similar to the regular chat sessions, in that entering the café while the event is going on will show up to four Miis sitting at a booth bringing up random topics of conversation. During the event, a sad Mii will be sitting in the corner of the booth with their head down, and the other Miis present will attempt to cheer the Mii up by telling jokes or bringing up silly stories. The sad Mii will never react, and after each conversation, the participants will look at them worriedly. The pity party event will automatically conclude either when all Miis on the island have their sadness cured or once an hour has passed after the start of the event.

Trivia

  • Exclusively in the Japanese version, the lyrics to the songs from Tomodachi Collection can be heard along with the café's music. In international versions, this is omitted, and the café music is instrumental.
